Here at Proscapes, we survey your property during our initial visit. We then develop a program specifically designed for your lawn. It's that simple. Seasonal Services for Your Lawn: Proscapes offers seven lawn treatments, occuring every 6-7 weeks, to keep your lawn in top shape:

  1. Early Season - Due to the normally mild winters, broadleaf and grassy weeds thrive. We apply a pre-emergent to help control winter broadleaf and grassy weeds. This will keep things in check through spring. We will also spot spray any existing weeds at that time.
  2. Early Spring - As we know, crabgrass can be a problem all summer long. It's important to catch it before it begins. The lawn will receive a crabgrass preventer as well as root stimulating fertilizer. This will help ease the turf's transition from dormancy. *St Augustine lawns will receive root stimulating fertilizer and broadleaf weed control as needed.
  3. Spring - The lawn will receive a balanced fertilizer to help thicken and strengthen it for summer. We will also be checking for disease problems. *Crabgrass preventer will be applied as needed.
  4. Early Summer - Texas summers can be very brutal, that's why it is so important to fertilize with nutrients to manage summer stress. This is also when turf damaging insects become active. We will be checking for these as well.
  5. Summer - This fertilizer formulation will help strengthen the root system going into fall. This is crucial in minimizing winter damage later. Any weeds will be treated as needed.
  6. Fall - It's time to begin winter weed control. The lawn will receive the first of two pre - emergent treatments to help keep weeds like dandelions out of the lawn. We will also check for fall diseases.
  7. Winter - This is the second weed pre-emergent treatment. The reason for splitting the applications is to give extended control during this period. Some lawns may require an additional sulfur treatment in the winter to keep the pH in check.
